M. Kris Srinivasan, M.D., MBA, MHSE, is the new chief medical officer for VGM Group, the member service organization announced on June. 1.

In this role, “Srinivasan will provide clinical leadership across VGM Group’s non-acute healthcare businesses, advancing governance, medical policy oversight and evidence-based standards that support the providers and organizations VGM serves,” the announcement said. “His appointment reflects VGM Group’s continued investment in the people, expertise and partnerships that help the healthcare industry deliver safe, effective care in the home and other community settings.”

Srinivasan earned his doctor of medicine degree from American University of Antigua College of Medicine. He holds an MBA as well, with an emphasis in healthcare, from Davenport University and a Master of Health Systems Engineering (MHSE) degree from Lehigh University.

For the last 15 years, his focus has been designing, developing and executing commercial optimization strategies for healthcare organizations. Srinivasan has served on the American Association for Homecare board, and he currently is a board member several organizations, including the Central Pennsylvania Kidney Foundation, Children Service Center of Wyoming Valley, and The Luzerne Foundation.

As VGM Group’s senior clinical leader, Srinivasan will work with various business units “to strengthen clinical processes, review protocols and align quality standards with regulatory expectations and best practices,” the organization said. “He will also advise on the program design of new service lines and technologies that help providers care for their patients.”

“Kris brings a clinician’s perspective and an entrepreneurial mindset that will strengthen how we support members, partners, and patients across the healthcare continuum,” said Jeremy Stolz, VGM Group CEO. “In this new role, he will help guide clinical quality as we expand programs, evaluate new opportunities, and continue delivering solutions that make care more connected.”

“I’ve spent my career focused on expanding access, improving outcomes and building programs that make high-quality care more achievable for patients and care teams,” Srinivasan said. “I’m excited to join VGM Group and help shape clinical strategy across the organization.”
