VGM to Host June 18 Lunch Bucket Webcast

June 13, 2008 by Mobility Management

John Gallagher will lead another edition of his “Lunch Bucket” Webcasts on Wednesday, June 18, starting at 12:30 p.m. Eastern time.

As the VGM Group’s VP of Government Affairs, Gallagher regularly hosts the Webcasts to keep industry members updated on significant legislative and funding issues. Gallagher’s June 18 topics will include competitive bidding and the expiration of Medicare’s so-called “doc fix.”

“Because of this, we are asking that all providers contact their legislators on June 18 to urge them to support a delay or repeal of the competitive bidding program, and to oppose any additional cuts to oxygen, as well as the transfer of oxygen ownership from provider to beneficiary,” Gallagher said in a news release. The first round of competitive bidding policies is scheduled to go into effect on July 1, 2008, in 10 competitive bidding areas throughout the country.

To watch the Webcast, go to www.vgmdclink.com/switchboard/lunchbucket.asp. To listen in by phone, call (888) 264-1979 or (706) 643-9818, and use conference ID number 50632979. The Webcast is scheduled to last two hours.
