VMI Adds Two Executives

February 28, 2019 by Laurie Watanabe

Vantage Mobility International (VMI) has announced the hire of two executives: a CFO and a VP of Sales Effectiveness.

In a Feb. 28 news announcement, VMI said Jeff Payne will be leading the company’s financial team as its new CFO.

The news announcement said Payne “recently served as VP Finance/CFO for Comtech EF Data, where he worked across departments to set new pricing models, finance arrangements and sales compensation plans that pushed top-line improvement by 35 percent in just two years. Prior to that, Payne served as the North American Controller/CFO for Radiall USA Inc., a global, publicly traded manufacturing company.”

VMI CEO Mark Shaughnessy said of the hire, “Jeff Payne has extensive experience in finance, process improvement and cost reductions, and we are thrilled he has joined the VMI team. One of the stand-out skills that Jeff brings to VMI is his experience in developing a performance- driven team and leveraging finance as a competitive advantage.”

VMI also announced that Todd Navarrete is its new VP of Sales Effectiveness. Navarrete is a mobility industry veteran, “working with one of the largest mobility dealerships in the country in both sales and strategic development roles” for more than 10 years, VMI said.

Navarrete’s responsibilities will include spearheading dealers’ sales effectiveness programs, and creating sales strategies and initiatives to help accessible vehicle dealers to provide excellent customer service. Navarrete has also served as President of VMI’s Dealer Council.

Jeff Weston, EVP Sales & Business Development, said of Navarrete’s appointment, “Todd Navarrete is an impressive sales executive who understands just about every aspect of the wheelchair vehicle industry. We believe his experience driving commercial and consumer sales, along with his insight on best practices and performance metrics will be a valuable asset to our team.”
