VMI Introduces Accessible Honda Minivan

November 1, 2006 by Mobility Management

One of the automotive industry’s most popular minivans is now accessible, thanks to a new agreement between Vantage Mobility International (VMI) and American Honda Motor Company.

Last week, VMI started selling the Honda Odyssey with the Northstar conversion, featuring a lowered-floor, side entry.

VMI President/CEO Doug Eaton called Honda “a recognized leader in the automotive industry in quality, resale value and ride and handling. The Odyssey is the benchmark of product quality in the minivan segment, and it strengthens our product lineup.”

The adapted Odyssey features a floor that’s been lowered 11 inches to enhance driver line of sight and provide ample headroom, a power in-floor ramp with non-skid surface, and the PowerKneel system, which lowers the minivan to provide an eight-degree ramp angle and a shorter ramp length that’s convenient in tight parking spaces.

VMI purchases the Odyssey minivans from Honda, then adapts the vehicles in its Phoenix facility. For more information, go to www.vantagemobility.com.
