Wayne Grau
Wayne Grau, executive director of the National Coalition for Assistive & Rehab Technology (NCART) has told the organization he intends to retire at the end of 2026.
Grau, an industry veteran, became executive director in September 2022, succeeding longtime Executive Director Don Clayback.
In a July 15 announcement, NCART said, “Wayne has worked closely with the executive committee to develop a thoughtful transition plan that positions NCART for continued success. Through this collaborative planning process, the board is confident the organization is well prepared for a seamless leadership transition and a strong future.”
The organization’s executive committee “has already begun the process” of searching for the next executive director, the announcement added.
“Serving as executive director of NCART has been one of the greatest privileges of my career,” Grau said in the announcement. “I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together over the past several years on behalf of our members and the Complex Rehab Technology [CRT] community. The progress we’ve made has been possible because of the dedication of our board, committees, members, industry partners and advocates who work tirelessly to improve access to CRT for the individuals who depend on it. I am deeply grateful to have been a part of NCART and the broader CRT industry. I have complete confidence in the transition plan that has been developed and know the organization is well positioned for continued growth and success under its next executive director.”
During his tenure in CRT, Grau has worked for manufacturers (Pride Mobility Products and MK Battery), The MED Group, and in a number of policy and marketing positions.
“We look forward to celebrating his accomplishments throughout the remainder of the year while continuing the important work of advancing access to Complex Rehab Technology for those who rely on it,” NCART added.
