Historically, the service and repair departments
at many Complex Rehab Technology (CRT) and home
medical equipment businesses have stayed open because
consumers and clinical partners expect providers to offer
that kind of support. But too few providers have viewed
service and repair departments as true opportunities for
growth and profitability — and have made the
investments needed to help service departments achieve
excellence in their own right.
