Yamaha Sponsors Physically Challenged Bowhunters of America

September 1, 2006 by Mobility Management

Yamaha Motor Corp., with its lines of all-terrain (ATV) and side by side vehicles, is a newly signed sponsor of the Physically Challenged Bowhunters of America (PCBA).

“Yamaha has joined as a corporate member, which helps us reach more physically challenged men, women and children,” says PCBA Secretary/Treasurer Karen Vought. “Yamaha will be largely involved also through their generous donations of products to help us raise funds.”

PCBA’s mission is to promote archery and bowhunting among people with disabilities. The non-profit group, based in New Alexandria, Pa., works closely with hospitals and rehab facilities, and also with crossbow manufacturers to help make the sport more accessible. “We offer adaptive equipment, info on buying this equipment and the safe uses of the equipment so they can safely return to our wonderful sport,” Vought says. “Bowhunting is the best therapy in the world.”

PCBA &#151 which also lists all-terrain power chair manufacturer TracAbout as a sponsor &#151 can be reached in cyberspace at www.pcba-net.org.
