Featuring Motion and United Spinal Association.

April 17, 2024 by Laurie Watanabe

Motion to Host Preventative Maintenance Days for Wheelchair Clients

Motion is hosting two Preventative Maintenance Days to provide wheelchair checkups for its clients.

“Motion strives to ensure we are doing all that we can to keep our clients safe, minimize future urgent service requests, and maintain manufacturer safety standards,” the provider formerly known as Motion Specialties said on its website. “To support our efforts, we are pleased to host two Preventative Maintenance Days throughout the year so that our clients may take advantage of complimentary pre-scheduled in-shop inspections of their mobility equipment.”

The Maintenance Days, which will take place at all Motion locations, are scheduled for June 11 and Oct. 1. Wheelchair riders can visit the Motion website to register.

United Spinal Hosts First-Ever Giving Week

United Spinal Association’s first-ever Giving Week is going on now.

The organization’s goal is to raise $50,000 this week to support programs that serve and support people who use wheelchairs.

United Spinal’s Giving Week web page noted that small donations add up: “$25 will cover gas for a peer mentor to meet a new peer; $50 provides a Ready to Roll emergency kit; $100 provides 10 members with a free one-year subscription to New Mobility magazine. Every contribution helps keep us in the fight.”

Get involved by visiting United Spinal’s Giving Week page.
