Kalogon is now accepting 3D scan-based orders for its Bondar back support (HCPCS code E2617).
“The move allows seating teams to create a unified seating system from scan by using Bondar and Verro, Kalogon’s E2609 custom cushion featuring the company’s variable-density lattice,” the Melbourne, Florida-based seating manufacturer said in an Oct. 19 announcement. The 3D scan-based process was soft launched in June.
“Bondar from Scan uses 3D printing to replicate the shape captured during a clinical evaluation, allowing Bondar to better accommodate users with significant postural asymmetries, giving ATPs [Assistive Technology Professionals] and clinicians another option when a more individualized back support is needed,” Kalogon said in its announcement. “Paired with Verro, these products can support users with more significant postural asymmetries.”
Kalogon launched the Bondar custom-fabricated back support in June 2024.
