NMEDA Calls for Overdue VA Invoices

July 30, 2014 by Laurie Watanabe

The National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA) is asking members to submit overdue invoices for purchases made by Veterans Affairs (VA).

In a bulletin to members and stakeholders, NMEDA noted it is creating a report “of all its members’ overdue VA invoices (past 120 days) and we will submit it to the VA.”

NMEDA members who want to participate can download an Excel document by visiting a special NMEDA Web page.

NMEDA also noted it’s asking solely for “properly documented invoices that are not currently in dispute.” The VA is asking NMEDA members to provide the clients’ names and partial Social Security numbers to facilitate the retrieval of the invoices being examined.

“We have the full weight of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs behind us on this effort,” the NMEDA bulletin said. “This is your best opportunity to help speed up the payment process at your local VAs with their support.”

NMEDA members must submit fully completed forms by end of business day on Tuesday, Aug. 5. Completed forms should be e-mailed to [email protected].
