Numotion’s latest acquisition is Wheeler’s Medical Supply, a Jacksonville, Fla.-based business that specializes in urological and incontinence supplies.
While Numotion is best known for its Complex Rehab Technology work, the provider has also been striving to become a complete service provider to people who use wheelchairs as well as to people living with a range of disabilities and medical conditions.
Via a Jan. 4 news announcement, Numotion said the acquisition “expands [Numotion’s] existing medical supplies business that is focused on providing high-quality, innovative, disposable medical supply solutions that meet the mobility and lifestyle needs of [our] customers.”
In explaining the acquisition decision, Numotion CEO Mike Swinford lauded Wheeler’s reputation for taking excellent care of its clients.
“Growing Numotion’s medical supplies offering with the addition of the Wheeler’s team enables Numotion to more comprehensively serve the needs of an expanded customer base and allows us to continue to empower people to actively participate in everyday life,” Swinford said. “Wheeler’s has a track record of exceptional customer service, and our goals in serving customers align in a way that makes this acquisition a natural step on our path to serving the needs of more customers.”
From its Jacksonville location, Wheeler’s serves clients in Florida and Georgia. Adding Wheeler’s gives Numotion six locations in Florida.
“The culture at Numotion is clearly one of caring for customers,” said Wheeler’s founder Donald Moran III, “and I wanted to not only partner with a company that shared my philosophy, but join my business with a family of experts who can support a wide range of independence needs. “My whole premise in starting Wheeler’s was to make sure that nobody goes without supplies. Numotion shares a similar view and brings a broader portfolio of products and services. Our customers can expect the same level of dedication we have always provided, but now with the strength and size of Numotion behind them.”
