Ability Members Group Expands Its Presence in Ontario

March 15, 2021 by Laurie Watanabe

Ability Members Group, the fast-growing network of home medical equipment providers in Canada, has expanded its presence in Ontario via its latest new member.

In a March 8 news announcement, Ability Members Group said Align Home Health Care — with its four Southeastern Ontario locations in Belleville, Kingston, Napanee, and Peterborough — had joined the network.

Align Home Health Care, established in 2016, provides complex seating and wheeled mobility equipment for adults and children, as well as home accessibility and mobility-related DME.

Dennis Mahoney, Align Home Health Care’s CEO, said in the announcement, “We wanted to be part of a larger group, which will give us advantages with business development support and sustainable business practices. With the scale that Ability Members Group has, we now have access to programs and partnerships that we previously did not.”

Jamie Church, Ability Members Group’s CEO, said of the new partnership, “Align Home Health Care has accomplished something incredible. In just a few years they have been able to have a huge impact in the region. The combination of entrepreneurial spirit and collective experience their team brings are valuable characteristics that fit well with our other members. This newest addition in Southeastern Ontario to our membership increases our presence and enables new ways to better serve communities in that area.”

Ability Members Group now has 79 locations throughout Canada.
