Ability Members Group Partners with Cardinal Health Canada

May 26, 2021 by Laurie Watanabe

Ability Members Group, the rapidly growing provider network in Canada, has announced a new partnership.

In a May 25 news release, Ability Members Group said it had signed a new supplier relationship agreement with Cardinal Health Canada, “a leading manufacturer and distributor of healthcare products and solutions. This new relationship will help support members by improving cost-effectiveness and efficiency in care delivery.”

Jamie Church, the CEO of Ability Members Group, said in the announcement, “Securing this new supplier agreement with Cardinal Health Canada is exciting. With their extensive footprint in Canada, they will be able to support us in further improving how we can help members grow their businesses. Cardinal Health’s products and services offering will provide a significant benefit for our members.”

Because Cardinal Health Canada has manufacturing and distribution facilities across Canada, Ability Members Group said its new partner is “well positioned” to support the provider network’s focus on home care and to do so in a timely manner.

“Supporting independent home health medical equipment providers is critical to ensure Canadians are getting the healthcare products they need, when they need them to support care in the home,” said Russell Schuster, President of Cardinal Health Canada. “Our national presence, distribution solutions, and services align well with the mission of Ability Members Group, and we look forward to working with them to support the health and well-being of Canadians.”

Cardinal Health Canada is headquartered in Vaughan, Ontario, and has eight distribution centers across the country. It manufactures and distributes medical and surgical products.

Ability Members Group is a national network of home medical equipment and Complex Rehab Technology providers; the network launched in 2017. Earlier this month, Ability Members Group announced it had member locations “from coast to coast” in Canada.
