DOT Launches Accessible Air Travel Campaign
To commemorate the 37th anniversary of the Air Carrier Access Act (ACAA), the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has launched the #AccessibleAirTravel campaign “to raise awareness about the right of air travelers with disabilities to safe, dignified and accessible air travel,” the agency said in an Oct. 5 announcement.
The centerpiece of the campaign is a video on the Bill of Rights for passengers with disabilities.
The ACAA was enacted on Oct. 2, 1986.
