Mobility Ventures Expands Government, Commercial Fleet Sales

November 5, 2015 by Laurie Watanabe

While perhaps best known in the wheelchair users’ community for its wheelchair-accessible MV-1 vehicle, Mobility Ventures is also a major player in the commercial segment of accessible travel.

And in a Nov. 2 announcement, Mobility Ventures said it was expanding its government and commercial fleet sales division and hiring Bill Gibson to serve as the manufacturer’s VP of Government & Commercial Fleet Sales.

Gibson is a veteran of automotive fleet management operations, Mobility Ventures said, and he has more than 40 years of sales and marketing experience. Previous tenures include VP of fleet sales for VNG.CO, and VP of sales and marketing for SCT Performance.

Gibson also served for 38 years at General Motors. He worked in GM’s fleet & commercial operations segment for 21 years.

Howard Glaser, president of AM General’s commercial division, said of the hire, “I am pleased to have someone of Bill Gibson’s caliber and business acumen join the Mobility Ventures team. His depth and breadth of managing automotive fleet operations and customer relations will significantly further Mobility Ventures’ progress in expanding accessible transportation alternatives to fleet operators in the local, state, federal and international market space.”

AM General is the parent company of Mobility Ventures.
