NSM Adds Locations in Ohio & Washington

May 24, 2017 by Laurie Watanabe

National Seating & Mobility (NSM) has grown again, this time adding an office in central Ohio and expanding for the first time into the state of Washington.

In two May 12 announcements, NSM said it acquired Seattle-based Dependable Medical Equipment and Columbus (Ohio) Medical Equipment.

The central Ohio expansion also “powers the launch of the first AccessNSM home solutions location in Ohio, offering a full spectrum of accessibility products supporting mobility and independence,” the complex rehab provider said.

NSM takes over the existing Columbus Medical Equipment office location at 306 E. 5th Ave. in Columbus, Ohio. Three ATPs and one rehab technology supplier from Columbus Medical have joined NSM’s staff and will continue to work at the Columbus location.

Columbus Medical Equipment opened for business in 1975.

The acquisition of Dependable Medical Equipment means NSM now has a location in Washington state. Four ATPs and one rehab technology supplier from Dependable Medical Equipment have joined NSM and will continue to work from the 17703 15th Ave. NE location in Seattle.

NSM’s annual symposium, which bring together its ATPs and managers for educational sessions and meetings, takes place in Nashville in July.
