NSM Expands Chattanooga Operations Center

November 8, 2017 by Laurie Watanabe

National Seating & Mobility (NSM) has completed a project that expanded its operations center in Chattanooga, Tenn.

According to a news announcement, the upgraded facility has an additional 20,000 square feet “to accommodate the company’s continued growth.” The operations center is now nearly 40,000 square feet in size and is home to NSM’s payor relations, accounting, billing and collections departments. More than 200 NSM team members are based at the operations center.

“The expansion of our operations center in Chattanooga provides NSM the space we need to accommodate the company’s current employees and future projected growth,” said NSM CEO Bill Mixon. “The open design facilitates team interaction, and additions such as new break rooms provide employees with areas to enjoy throughout the day. Ensuring that our employees have a great space to operate within every day was as much of a driver for this project as planning to add new staff in the future.”

Tennessee State Senator Bo Watson and Chattanooga employees joined Mixon and other members of NSM’s executive team for a Nov. 3 grand opening celebration.

“We are proud to be a part of the Chattanooga community,” Mixon said, “and look forward to growing our operations team in this expanded facility.”
