Rehab Medical Expands Coverage in Georgia

May 16, 2023 by Laurie Watanabe

Rehab Medical has opened a third office in the state of Georgia, this time in Augusta.

In a May 16 news announcement, Rehab Medical said, “After serving more than 17,000 mobility users in the company’s Atlanta North and Atlanta South locations, the opening of the Augusta office helps the company expand its reach to cover the entire state, as well as break into the neighboring state of South Carolina.”

Lewis Johnson, ATP, was recently promoted and will head the Augusta location, which will also be staffed by “four seasoned mobility specialists and a full office staff,” the announcement said.

Rehab Medical VP of Sales Keith Hawkins said in the announcement, “Augusta, Georgia, allows us to continue our reach in Georgia, and provide a stepping stone for future growth in South Carolina. I want to congratulate Lewis Johnson, ATP, on his promotion and looking forward to improving more lives in Georgia and South Carolina.”

The Rehab Medical announcement noted that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention described Georgia as among the 10 most populous states in the country and said that more than 12 percent of the state’s population “struggles with a mobility limitation.”
