VGM Hires Senior VP of Program Development

September 22, 2022 by Laurie Watanabe

VGM & Associates has hired an industry veteran as its new Senior VP of Program Development.

In a Sept. 15 announcement, VGM said Jamie Downing had accepted the position, and described him as “a longtime veteran in the HME industry with more than 30 years in strategic healthcare leadership accelerating top- and bottom-line growth and execution.”

Most recently, Downing was President and part-owner of the Sleep Wellness Institute, a clinical diagnostic sleep and respiratory DME company. “During this time, he grew the business to 75 employees, including six clinic/multiple diagnostics and nine retail/clinic CPAP locations throughout southeastern Wisconsin,” the announcement said.

Downing’s new role will see him focusing “on the creation and implementation of Peer Learning Communities that will soon be offered by VGM,” the announcement added.

Downing said, “In my new role at VGM & Associates, I am enthusiastic about combining my extensive business background and experience with the industry leader in DME. Specifically, building and facilitating program development in new member peer groups will be a main function of my role.”

Jeremy Stolz, President of VGM & Associates and VGM Fulfillment, added, “I am thrilled that Jamie has joined the VGM team. The team here is particularly excited about his long track record of success in our industry, combined with his ability to build effective, valuable programs and service offerings.”
