Ability Members Group Is Growing Rapidly in Canada

November 12, 2020 by Laurie Watanabe

Ability Members Group, a home medical equipment provider network, has been expanding its leadership team and growing in membership this year.

In a Nov. 9 news announcement, Ability Members Group said it has added 25 locations throughout Canada in the last 10 months.

The Group appointed industry veteran Jamie Church as its CEO in January, thus strengthening its leadership component. Church’s previous tenures include senior management positions with Invacare Canada LP and McKesson Canada.

Stan Murray, Ability Members’ President, said in the announcement, “Having Jamie on the team has helped increase our capacity to support our members. Jamie’s extensive relationships in the home healthcare industry, along with his experience with business development and member support, have already proven to be a big benefit to our group.”

Ability Members Group launched in 2017 with 15 locations. When Church came on board in January, the Group was up to 41 members and has now grown to 66 member companies in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Yukon.

“Now more than ever, communities across Canada need the products, services, and solutions that our members bring to their clients,” Church noted. “Our members play a critical role in assisting clients effectively manage their home healthcare needs in order to live as independently and safely as possible. My priority is on providing the right tools to help better enable our members to focus on client care. With financial transparency, member network growth and expansion into new markets, we’ll be able to support these important independent community businesses.”
