BlueSky Designs, best known in the Complex Rehab Technology industry for its Mount’n Mover line of wheelchair mounts and mounting hardware, has a new owner.
In a news announcement, BlueSky said its founder, Dianne Goodwin, is retiring after a 36-year career in the rehabilitation engineering and assistive technology industries.
BlueSky’s new owner is Peter Loeffler, who joined the company six years ago.
During his tenure at BlueSky, Loeffler has worked as a Research Engineer and Project Manager.
In the announcement, BlueSky said, “Peter is in service to the people who use our products, sharing BlueSky Designs founder Dianne Goodwin’s passion for people with disabilities and her belief in the potential for technology to increase their independence and ability to live life fully.”
Loeffler has a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Johns Hopkins University, where he also minored in entrepreneurship. The announcement said Loeffler “has led the technical development of the power mount and auto-positioning and has spearheaded operations improvements.”
