Bodypoint Launches Online Education Program

October 29, 2009 by Laurie Watanabe

Learning can be a 24/7 job – and now Bodypoint has made it easier for rehab professionals to access educational opportunities according to their own timetables.

The new online courses have been approved for CEU credit by the University of Pittsburgh.

The three sessions – Pelvic Positioning, Upper-Body Positioning and Lower-Extremity Positioning – must be taken together and qualify for .1 CEU each (.3 CEU total).

For a limited time, Bodypoint is offering the online courses free of charge to therapists, rehab technology suppliers and other seating professionals.

Said Bodypoint President Dave Hintzman, “The importance of quality ongoing education for wheelchair seating professionals has never been more critical than it is today. Yet with shrinking travel budges and greater demands on our time, getting this education in traditional formats has become more difficult. With this in mind, we are excited to be offering our education online for the first time.”

Bodypoint, headquartered in Seattle, designs and manufactures a wide range of postural support components and wheelchair seating accessories. Visit in cyberspace at bodypoint.com.
