Cure SMA Plans 2020 Summit of Strength Events

December 4, 2019 by Mobility Management

Calling its 2019 events a “huge success,” Cure SMA has announced it will host 21 Summit of Strength conferences next year.

“The 2019 Summit of Strength Program was a huge success, with more than 135 speakers sharing their expertise on numerous highly rated and unique topics,” the spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) organization said in a news announcement. “We would like to thank these wonderful speakers and all attendees for making this year’s program so engaging and insightful.”

The Summits are one-day events for people with SMA, their families, and their caregivers. At the events, attendees learn about the latest treatments for SMA, as well as about support services, care for people with SMA, and SMA-related advocacy.

In the last 16 months, Cure SMA has hosted 36 Summits of Strength across the country, with 2,900 attendees participating.

The 2020 Summits will be held in Anaheim, Calif.; Baltimore; Boston; Chicago; Cincinnati; Dallas; Des Moines, Iowa; Grand Rapids, Mich.; Houston; Indianapolis; Jacksonville, Fla.; Kansas City, Mo.; Louisville, Ky.; Minneapolis; New Orleans; New York City; Orlando, Fla.; Philadelphia; Raleigh, N.C.; San Francisco; and
Seattle.

For more detailed information on Summit dates and times, check the Cure SMA calendar, which will be updated as events draw nearer.
