Drive DeVilbiss Launches Inspired by Drive Company

February 2, 2017 by Laurie Watanabe

Drive DeVilbiss has officially launched Inspired by Drive, a brand comprising Columbia Medical, Specialised Orthotic Services and Wenzelite Re/hab.

In a news announcement, Drive DeVilbiss said the new name was “Inspired by children with special needs and fueled by the tradition of Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare.”

Doug Francis, principal and co-founder of Drive DeVilbiss, added, “The new brand was born out of a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children with special needs and their families.” The news announcement said the company “is dedicated to manufacturing innovative, clinically sound positioning and mobility products, designed to enhance a child’s ability to play, engage and participate in daily living.”

The bringing together of three veteran complex rehab companies means Inspired by Drive starts with a solid foundation of products in the positioning, mobility, bathing and toileting segments of the industry.

VP/General Manager Matt Lawrence said in the announcement, “Making a difference for families of children with special needs matters to us. The grace, love, and determination of special needs families gave birth to our brand name and motivates the current and future vision of the Inspired by Drive product line.”

Inspired by Drive is headquartered in Santa Fe Springs, Calif., hometown of Columbia Medical.
