Harmar Presents Technical Education Forum

August 15, 2011 by Laurie Watanabe

Harmar’s first technical education forum hosted 80 dealers representing 50 different companies during two days of in-depth training.

During the event, held at The Mirage in Las Vegas, attendees learned product information for more than 50 models of vehicle lifts, portable ramps, bath lifts, vertical platform lifts, and stairlifts. Educational sessions also taught attendees how to sell, install and service Harmar products.

Attendees were given the opportunity to become Harmar Certified at the end of the event.

In a news announcement about the event, Harmar said benefits to the dealer training include improved technician efficiency and effectiveness to increase profits; the ability to better identify the needs of the end-user customer; increased knowledge of troubleshooting and servicing Harmar lifts; and Harmar certification that can be used toward Veterans Affairs installations.

Harmar (harmar.com) also offers monthly Level II technical product training courses for mobility at its Sarasota, Fla., headquarters, and for accessibility at its Lake Winnebago, Mo., location.
