Medtrade 2023 to Be Held in Dallas

June 20, 2022 by Laurie Watanabe

Next year, Medtrade will have a single event… and it will be held in Dallas.

In a June 20 announcement, Emerald, the expo company that owns Medtrade, said it would consolidate its Medtrade West and Medtrade East events into one event to be held early in the year.

Medtrade 2023 is scheduled for March 28-30 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in downtown Dallas.

For many years, Medtrade has held a smaller spring event in the western United States and called the show Medtrade Spring or Medtrade West. The larger Medtrade event, also known lately as Medtrade East, took place in the fall in the eastern United States.

In the announcement, Show Director York Schwab said, “Switching to one show per year was motivated by feedback from attendees and exhibitors. Moving the show to Dallas is part of the same equation. Dallas is centrally located with reasonably priced lodging, exhibitor-friendly rules, first-rate transportation, great restaurants, and lots of non-stop flights arriving from countless cities.”

Sarah Varner, Medtrade’s VP of Marketing, added in the announcement, “Our mission is to stage events that unite the HME [home medical equipment] industry, and having one annual event will bring together buyers, sellers, and educators under one roof for the ultimate product and information sourcing event. The move to one show is exciting, and Dallas is a wonderful location. Attendees and exhibitors wanted Dallas more than any other city, and we have responded.”

The new scheduling and branding start next year. Medtrade East will take place Oct. 24-26 in Atlanta this year.
