Motion Concepts Announces ROVI X3 Launch

June 8, 2015 by Laurie Watanabe

The complex rehab power wheelchair segment has another player, as Motion Concepts has announced the official launch of the ROVI X3.

A June 8 news announcement from Motion Concepts said the X3 will initially be offered in two HCPCS codes: K0856 and K0861.

The K0856 code is for a Group 3 standard power wheelchair with a single power option, a sling/solid seat/back, and a patient weight capacity up to and including 300 lbs. The K0861 code is defined as a Group 3 standard power wheelchair with multiple power options, a sling/solid seat/back, and a patient weight capacity up to and including 300 lbs.

Motion Concepts is the exclusive distributor of the X3 power base and provides the power chair’s power positioning system.

The X3 has been seen at multiple complex rehab events this year, but June 8 marks its official debut. An end-to-end battery configuration gives the mid-wheel-drive X3 an impressively narrow 23.25” wheelbase width. The X3, which uses an Active Ride Control suspension, has also been designed to provide easy service access to electronic components for technicians.

The chair boasts Motion Concepts’ Ultra Low Maxx power positioning technology, known for its modularity, and Invacare’s Matrx Seating & Positioning, all via a streamlined ordering process. Clinicians and providers seeking more information can contact their Motion Concepts or Invacare sales reps, or Motion Concepts directly at (888) 433-6818.
