NMEDA Still Searches for Executive Director

July 1, 2008 by Mobility Management

At press time, the National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA) was still in the process of searching for a new executive director. The position was vacated earlier this year by Dana Roeling, who sat at the helm of the organization since 2002. Roeling is now employed with Rehab Ideas, a Florida-based assistive technology company.

A search committee has been hired to conduct the search, according to Bill Siebert, president of NMEDA’s board of directors.
“It’s going to be a time-consuming, ongoing search,” he says. “But we want the right person for the job.”
Those interested in learning more about the position can contact NMEDA at (800) 833-0427, and from there will be put in touch with the search committee, Siebert says.

According to Siebert, the search is moving forward and there are some people being considered for the position. However, he welcomes other qualified candidates to inquire about the job. There has not been a projected date as to when the position will be filled.
“The biggest thing is that we need to get the right person for the job so that NMEDA moves forward,” Siebert says. “We don’t want to lose momentum.”
