NSM Names New President

July 22, 2014 by Laurie Watanabe

William C. Mixon is the new president of National Seating & Mobility (NSM).

In a July 22 news release, NSM CEO Mike Ballard said, “Today I am excited to announce that William C. Mixon will be joining NSM as president. As we grow, our need for talented, experienced business executives continues. Bill’s background and credentials fit with our company mission and values. Bill is exactly the kind of talented executive we want to help us achieve the next phase of growth at NSM and continue to drive the company forward.”

The news announcement noted that Mixon comes to NSM with 24 years’ experience in the healthcare and professional service industries, with more than 10 years’ experience in management, president and CEO positions. Mixon most recently was president of Universal Hospital Services, which the announcement described as the largest provider of clinically focused asset management solutions and services involving mobile medical technology for the American healthcare market.

Mixon has also worked at Philips Medical Systems and US Investigation Services.

NSM, one of the country’s largest national complex rehab technology providers, continues to grow, having announced the addition of two branch offices in Flowood, Miss., and Providence, R.I., in June. The Providence office was an acquisition of Major Medical Supply.

“I couldn’t be more excited about joining NSM,” Mixon said. “Mike (Ballard) and his team have built a really strong business, one that is poised for continued growth organically and through additional acquisitions. The way the company values its patients and employees is to be admired. I am proud to be joining this team.”
