Quantum Rehab iLevel Celebrates 25K Milestone

April 28, 2019 by Laurie Watanabe

The iLevel adjustable seat height technology system from Quantum Rehab has reached a new milestone.

On April 24, Quantum Rehab announced that the 25,000th power wheelchair with iLevel technology had gone through production at the manufacturer’s Duryea, Pa., facility.

The seat-elevating system was introduced in May 2015. Last October, Quantum announced that the 20,000th iLevel system had been provided.

In addition to providing seat elevation to facilitate many mobility-related activities of daily living, iLevel is also well known for being able to keep users at an elevated height while their Quantum Rehab power chairs are in motion.

While at 12 inches of iLevel seat elevation, power chair users can drive at 4.5 mph, thanks to patented Extra Stability Technology that enhances user safety as they transfer, reach, and perform other activities.

Quantum Rehab VP Jay Brislin said of the milestone, “With iLevel, our consumers have achieved greater independence to do the things they love. iLevel is being asked for by name from people who use power wheelchairs. This technology is successful not just because consumers recognize what it can do for them, but also because payors are beginning to realize power seat elevation is a necessity and not a luxury.”
