Registration Open for NCART & NRRTS Conference

January 22, 2018 by Laurie Watanabe

Registration for the 2018 NCART and NRRTS National CRT Leadership & Advocacy Conference is now open.

The conference takes place April 25-26 in Arlington, Va., at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City.

In a Jan. 12 e-mail to industry stakeholders, NCART Executive Director Don Clayback said, “A major part of the conference is visiting members of Congress to push for passage of our ‘CRT Wheelchair Accessories’ and our ‘CRT Separate Benefit Category’ legislation.  We built good momentum last year thanks to everyone’s efforts.  But this year’s visits are critical to getting passage of permanent fixes and improvements.”

To encourage as many complex rehab technology stakeholders to attend as possible, Clayback said the event would once again use a “condensed” format and would remain two days long. The reduced fee for the condensed event is $199.

The focus of Wed., April 25, is leadership. The program will include CRT-focused presentations on “health care reform, federal and state regulatory/legislative issues, discussions with a CRT consumer panel, and getting prepped for Congress,” Clayback said. “We’ll also have our CRT United Reception that evening, hosted by our platinum sponsors.”

Thurs., April 26, is Capitol Hill Day, with providers, manufacturers, consumers and clinicians venturing to Congressional offices to meet face to face with members of Congress, Senators and their staffers. A Debriefing Reception that evening at the hotel will give attendees the opportunity to share their experiences.

Register for the event by going to www.ncart.us/crtconf.
