VGM Opens Nominations for HME Woman of the Year Award

September 19, 2022 by Laurie Watanabe

The VGM Group is once again seeking nominations for its HME Woman of the Year Award.

In a Sept. 14 news announcement, VGM said this seventh annual award “recognizes a woman who has made increasingly significant contributions throughout her career to her company, community, and the home medical equipment industry.”

Nominations will be accepted through Oct. 28.

Mike Mallaro, CEO of VGM, said in the announcement, “The HME Woman of the Year Award honors the incredible dedication that women have to the industry. It recognizes women who lead in a variety of ways, whether it’s being an innovator in the profession, sharing their expertise with their peers, or their devotion to helping others.”

VGM added that dozens of nominations from across the country are received each year. Eligible nominees include providers, manufacturers, association executives, and other professionals in the home medical equipment, Complex Rehab Technology, respiratory, and mastectomy industries.

Nominations can be submitted online, and VGM will announce the winner during a virtual ceremony on Dec. 15, 2022.

The 2021 HME Woman of the Year was Katie Stevens, CEO of Reliable Medical Supply.
